Obituary: Anderson, Margaret Patricia

Age 82

ANDERSON, Margaret Patricia 4-28-1931 - 5-9-2013 Patricia Anderson passed away suddenly on May 9th 2013 at Valley Hospital in Spokane.

She was born in Jasper, Alberta, Canada on April 28th, 1931 to Christine and Robert Stevenson.

During her early years she traveled to Scotland for a time before settling with her family in Edmonton, Alberta.

She went through her school days in Edmonton before marrying and having a son, Patrick, in 1953.

She moved to Spokane with her son in 1960 and began working as a bookkeeper.

Patricia had a long career at Roundup/West Coast Grocery where she developed many lifelong friendships.

In 1967 Patricia married Ron Anderson and they spent 34 happy years together until his death in 2001.

They spent a lot of favorite times (as did the entire family) at Priest Lake in Idaho.

She will be sorely missed by family in the US and Canada, friends, and her many close neighbors and caregivers.

She is preceded in death by her brother Doug.

Patricia is survived by her four sons: Pat, Mark, Scott and wife Debbie, and Bruce and wife Deena; twelve grandchildren: Shayne, Sarah, Sage, Taylor, Brittany, Ryan, Errin, Margarita, Cameron, Emma, Molly, and David; and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Olivia, Bryn, Micah, and Ryder; and in Canada family include Evelyn, Rob, Joan and Robin.

Patricia loved spending time with all the young ones in her life and talked of them endlessly.

She had many good friends, neighbors and care-givers that spent many an hour with her sharing stories, exchanging books, and snacking on Scottish treats.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at her home in the Spokane Valley on Saturday, June 1st at 1pm.
