Obituary: Kochel, (Johnson) (Age 88), Gloria Victoria
Gloria was born November 8, 1924, in Coeur d’Alene, ID, to Gusaf and Anna Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward W. Kochel, Spokane, WA; sons, Tim Kochel (Laurie) of Spokane, WA, and Mark Kochel (Shelley) of Colbert, WA; grandchildren, Kara, Kyle, Kraig, JoBeth, Matt, and Corey; and one great-grandson, Cowan.
Gloria graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1942.
She attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO, in 1947, majoring in organ studies.
Her career occupations have been, primarily, in banking.
She began working at age 17 with Idaho First Bank and moved on to Old National Bank, Seattle First, and Bank of America.
Gloria retired in 1986.
She was a member of Spokane First Assembly of God.
Gloria enjoyed family, outdoors, reading, and travel.
She spent the last three years as a resident of Northpointe Retirement Community.
She will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 10:30 AM, at Spokane First Assembly of God Church, 828 W. Indiana Ave.
