Spokane Kennel Club Dog Show

When: Today-Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

What: AKC dog show with more than 1,300 dogs entered. There will be vendors selling pet products and local breed clubs with booths set up so you can get to know each breed a little better.

Memorial Day services

Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road in Medical Lake, 11 a.m. Monday. Program is outdoors and seating is limited, so bring a blanket or chair. Overflow parking will be available along Ritchey Road. Carpooling is encouraged. (509) 299-6280

Evergreen Cemetery Memorial Day Service, 10015 N. Market St., sponsored by Hillyard VFW Post 1474 and Ladies Auxiliary, 10 a.m. Thursday. After a 20-minute ceremony, members of the cemetery association will be available to assist visitors in locating graves of relatives. (509) 487-3784.

Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Saturday-Monday. Cemetery office will be open to help people locate graves of their loved ones. At 6 p.m. Sunday, Brass Patriotic Band will have a concert on the top of Greenwood by the Cross of Inspiration. (509) 838-1405.
