Four die in car wreck near Gorge Amphitheatre

Two adults and two children are dead following a two-car collision this morning near The Gorge Amphitheatre in Grant County. The accident happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 1 NW and Beverly-Burke Road NW, which is about two miles east of The Gorge where thousands are attending the Sasquatch music festival this weekend. An SUV struck another vehicle, then crashed in a full and flowing irrigation canal, said Kyle Foreman, spokesman for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Two adults in the SUV died at the scene. The two juveniles were taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center, where they also died. The identities and hometowns of the four have not been released. A woman driving the other car received minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital for treatment, Foreman said.
