Obituary: Mclaughlin, Paul Charles

Age 57

McLAUGHLIN, Paul Charles (Age 57) April 1st, 1956 - May 7th, 2013 Paul Charles McLaughlin died peacefully in his sleep on May 7th, 2013 at the age of 57 years old.

He was born in St. Maries, Idaho on April 1st, 1956.

Paul grew up in Spokane, WA and graduated from West Valley High School and Spokane Community College, where he earned his A.S. in Computer Science.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Patricia J.S.

McLaughlin; and three children, Patrick Mears, Stacey Button and Justin McLaughlin who all reside in Texas.

He is also survived by his beloved brother and sister, Larry McLaughlin and Sandra Bullock, who reside in Idaho and Arizona; and his father, Emmett McLaughlin who resides in Spokane Valley, WA.

When Paul was only 14, his mother died after a brief illness and this left a lasting impression on his life.

He was admired and respected by many who knew him in his career with the US Army.

Paul was well known for his wonderful sense of humor, passion for detailed World War history, and love of cats.

There will be no memorial services held, however memorials in Paul’s name may be gifted to the nonprofit organization, “The Wounded Warrior Project”.
