ArtFest 2013

What: 28th annual art fair. Three days of music, food, the popular Make-It-Art children’s hands-on art-making area, and more than 160 fine artists and craftspeople.

‘Into the Woods’

What: Fairy tales are given the musical treatment in this play by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.

‘Mark Twain:

On Man and His World’

What: A one-man performance by Jerry Hardin as Twain. Hardin, a veteran Hollywood character actor, has appeared in such films as “The Firm” and “Hidalgo” and TV series such as “The X-Files,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Murder, She Wrote.”

16th Annual ChalkArtWalk

What: The sidewalks of the Hillyard Historic Business District will become awash in color as area artists of all ages create images on the theme of tolerance. Prizes will be awarded in five age categories.

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; drawing stops and judging begins at 3 p.m.
