Crusaders roll to playoff win

Wilson Reidt’s hat trick propelled the Northwest Christian boys soccer team past Riverside Christian 4-0 in a 2B subregional elimination match Saturday in Yakima.

Reidt opened the scoring in the 11th minute and made it 2-0 with a goal in the 28th minute. He completed the hat trick in the 73rd minute and Ryan Brandcamp capped the scoring 7 minutes later.

The Crusaders will play Valley Christian in the regional semifinals Friday.


Cole Valley 23, St. Maries 13: Mason Vanderhoff threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers beat the Lumberjacks (2-7) in the opening round of the 2A Idaho State playoffs in Meridian, Idaho.

Rosalia 38, King’s Way 22: Craig Nelson ran for three scores to guide the Spartans (6-2) to a nonleague win over visiting King’s Way.
