Obituary: Robertson, Mary Jean

Age 84

ROBERTSON, Mary Jean May 30, 1929 - November 1, 2013 Passed away November 1, 2013 in Kelowna, BC, Canada, she was born on May 30, 1929 in Spokane, WA to Alvin and Melba Koch.

She was raised on the family farm in Edwall, WA and graduated from Edwall High School and then attended Cheney Normal College (now EWU) for a short time.

She later went to work for the Spokesman Review.

She met and married Frank Titchenal and they had two children they raised on the family farm in Edwall.

She later married John Robertson in 1980 and they enjoyed boating and traveling and later settled in Kelowna, BC, Canada.

She is survived by her husband John at the home, two children Paul Titchenal and Wanda (and Wiley) Vorhies along with seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and five step children with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She was a former member of the Reardan Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed gardening and being with her family and phoning her family to keep up on what was going on with each family’s lives.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Pines Cemetery, 1402 S. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA with Pastor Bill Ward, officiating.

A visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the STRATE FUNERAL HOME, 505 Tenth St. Davenport, WA.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
