LeBron joins elite group of scorers

Associated Press

TORONTO – LeBron James reached another milestone Tuesday, becoming the fifth player in NBA history to score 10 points or more in 500 consecutive games.

James reached the milestone with a putback dunk on Norris Cole’s missed shot at 2:31 of the first quarter against the Raptors.

A four-time MVP, James joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (with streaks of 787 and 508 games), Michael Jordan (866), Karl Malone (575) and Moses Malone (526) as the only players to accomplish the feat.

James finished with 35 points on 13-of-20 shooting, eight rebounds and eight assists – all team highs – to lead the Heat to a 104-95 victory over Toronto.
