Obituary: Ayers, Miriam Elizabeth (Colby)

AYERS, Miriam Elizabeth (Colby) (Age 96) Miriam was born on January 20th 1917 to Henry and Mildred (Kennett) Colby in Newburyport, MA.

She passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 30, 2013 at the age of 96 in Spokane, WA.

Miriam is preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Ayers; three brothers, Bill, Calvin, and Norman Colby; and her parents, Mildred and Henry Colby.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Paula J. Whitmore of Spokane and Linda A. Biko of Carmichael, CA; two wonderful granddaughters, Kelli A. Phalen of Spokane and Brooke E. Biko of Sacramento, CA; two beloved great-grandsons, Connor J. Phalen and Isaac Phalen Carpenter of Spokane; and two brother-in-laws, Ralph and Gary Ayers.

Our precious mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend will be greatly missed.

Our hearts are broken, but we know she is at peace in heaven.
