Obituary: Bergman, Norman Frank

Age 85

BERGMAN, Norman Frank Norman Frank Bergman of Liberty Lake passed away on November 2, 2013.

He was born in Spirit Lake, ID on March 7, 1928 to parents Frank and Elsie Bergman.

He moved to Spokane in his early childhood where he attended Libby which was a highlight of his early life.

In 1944 at the age of 16, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and served in the Pacific Campaign.

He was honorably discharged a few years later but his passion for flying continued until his end.

He spent much of his adult life traveling the world and flying planes such as the P38 Lightning, P61 Black Widow and the B17.

He married Anne M. Dehn in October 1951.

Norman was an outdoor enthusiast who loved to boat, camp, fish and, mostly photograph the outdoors.

He always enjoyed filming his family and wildlife wherever he roamed.

Anne passed before him in 1992.

He is survived by his children: Deborah (husband Terry) and Danny (wife Clare); his grandchildren: Jordan and Taylor; his brother Sten and sister Elsie.

Visitation will be today from 9 AM - 8 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N DIVISION SPOKANE, WA.

Norman’s celebration of life will be held at Riplinger’s on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 9:30 AM with graveside service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Spokane.
