Obituary: Sheppard, Robert David “Bob”
Bob graduated from Rogers High School in 1961.
He then joined the United States Coast Guard, serving four years.
Bob began his career with Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company in Virginia, retiring from Qwest Communications in Spokane 35 years later.
Volunteering was very important to Bob, giving many hours to various organizations, especially the Millwood church, that he loved.
Bob is survived by his wife Carolyn of 49 years; their daughter, Kristi Rios and her husband Ray of Spokane.
Thank you to the doctors and staff on the second floor ICU at Sacred Heart Medical Center and to the Spokane Valley EMT and Fire Department.
A memorial service will be held beginning at 2:00PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Rd., Spokane, WA.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Millwood Community Presbyterian Church in support of The Crossing Youth Center.
