Age 64

STEJER, James A.

(Age 64) Passed away at his home at Priest Lake, ID, October 30, 2013.

He was born on September 29, 1949 in Spokane to Fred and Lillian Stejer.

Jim loved summers at the family cabin at Priest Lake where he enjoyed water-skiing, hiking and boating.

His lifelong passion for Century boats began early in his childhood, especially for the family Coronado, it became an icon cherished by Jim and his many friends at the lake.

His adventures also took him on long cross county motorcycle trips and dirt bike riding.

Winters captured Jim’s deep enthusiasm for snow skiing.

So much so, he considered trying out for the 1972 US Olympic Ski Team.

Strongly encouraged by his parents to complete his college education, he continued his studies at the University of Oregon where he joined the ski team.

His love of skiing took him to Utah in the 70’s, by the 80’s, his ultimate love for Priest Lake brought him back and he opened Lifestyle Real Estate.

Jim was a devoted son, taking great care of both his father and his mother, who preceded him in death along with his brother Fred S. Stejer, Jr. Jim wanted to experience everything from life at Priest Lake and beyond.

At his core he was an incredibly kind, gentle, honest, very generous human being and just funny with an ever present smile, his love of life was contagious.

There is a huge hole in the hearts of many of those of us who knew him, near and far, with whom endless great times were shared and the lake will no longer the same.
