Dogged consideration

I love dogs! My daughter has the cutest dog on Earth; a cocker spaniel-black Labrador mix. I also love the fact that most dog walkers have accepted responsibility for their dogs’ “business” when out for walks. In fact, my observation would be that it’s the exception rather than the rule to see a dog walker without a plastic bag.

My confidence was shaken on a recent afternoon, however, while raking leaves in my front yard. I discovered that a plastic bag with the dog’s “business” inside had been carefully placed at the base of a tree. But out of consideration for this particular dog walker, I left it there so they would know where to look when they discover that the bag failed to return home with them. I knew they’d want it back.
