Woman dies in semitruck accident

A 20-year-old woman died Saturday morning after a semitruck she was a passenger in struck a tree on State Route 195. At 7 a.m., a semitruck driver, 21-year-old Braden Bundy, fell asleep at the wheel. He drove off the road and into a tree , totaling his truck about 12 miles south of Spokane. His passenger, 20-year-old Kelsey Heidecker, died at the scene. Bundy was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center with injuries. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Criminal charges are pending for Bundy.
