 Rich Engel and Jenifer Foote have joined Heiskell MacGillivray & Associates, P.S. in a merger with Engel & Associates, P.S.


 Integrus Architecture has promoted Stephanie Ogram to senior associate and Alicia Morganti to associate. Ogram is the interior design manager and Morganti is in bookkeeping at the Spokane office.


 Nancy Fike has been appointed director of campus and regional development for Washington State University Spokane. Previously, Fike was director of philanthropy for WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) medical education program. She also has worked as director of development for the Gonzaga University School of Law.

 Community Colleges of Spokane has named David O’Neill as chief information officer. Previously, O’Neill worked as vice president/chief information officer of Integrated Technologies at State University of New York Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

 Doug Kries, philosophy professor at Gonzaga University, has received a $154,548 grant in collaboration with two other universities from the National Endowment for the Humanities to present a 2014 Summer Institute for College and University Teachers at Gonzaga.

 Rich Koenig, associate dean for the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences at Washington State University and director of the WSU Extension, is one of 14 soil scientists named as 2013 fellows of the Soil Science Society of America. Koenig has been a member of the society for 25 years. Less than 1 percent of the society’s active and emeritus members are selected for the fellowship. He is also a 2013 fellow of the American Society of Agronomy.

 Annette Marchese, Brian Reidy, Kelly Shelley and Brenda Siebert have joined Incyte Diagnostics. Marchese and Reidy are cytology prep aides. Marchese was with Willamette Dental Group. Shelley is an accessioner and was previously with On-The-Mark Transcription. Siebert is a pre-biller and was previously with Hedlund Homes.

 Royal Park Care Center has been awarded the 2013 Bronze Commitment to Quality award through the National Quality Award program by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. The award recognizes commitment to improving care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.


 The Ramada at Spokane Airport was awarded the Washington State Stars of the Industry Outstanding Property of the Year Award at the Washington State Lodging Association Convention and Trade Show. The award recognizes member properties that have demonstrated outstanding professionalism and leadership.


 Mercer Health & Benefits has appointed Chris Codd to office business leader. Codd has led Mercer’s local retirement plan advisory practice for more than 11 years. Mercer has also hired Jeff James and Lindsey Gauper as account managers. James worked for six years as an underwriter for Guardian Life. Gauper was with a group benefits practice at Northwestern Mutual Life.


 Sara Cuellar has joined Whipple Law Group, PLLC as an associate attorney. Cuellar will specialize in the administrative law and tax divisions of the firm.
