Obituary: Moss, Stewart W.

MOSS, Stewart W. February 16, 1920- November 5, 2013 Stewart W. Moss was born to Anna and Dale Moss in Fairfield, Washington.

He grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School.

He attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, Washington where he met Mary McNeilly from Colfax, Washington.

They were married January 1, 1942 and have celebrated 71 years of marriage.

During World War II, he served in the Army.

Stewart worked for many years at the Bank of Fairfield where he became a member of the Board of Directors.

He was a volunteer fireman for the Fairfield Fire Department and was very active in the Fairfield Service Club.

Stewart enjoyed growing and sharing his large garden in addition to fishing in local lakes.

Mary and Stewart enjoyed fall trips to the Oregon coast as well as trips to Europe and Asia.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Joan Nealey; his granddaughter and her husband, Nikki and Aaron Cole; and his great granddaughter, Kamryn Cole.

Also surviving Stewart are numerous Moss and McNeilly nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Stewart’s request, a private, grave-side service for the family will be held in Colfax, Washington.
