Obituary: Peachey, Ray A.

PEACHEY, Ray A. December 1, 1942 ~ October 21, 2013 “Ray’s great wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.”

Ray A. Peachey, age 70, passed away on Oct. 21, 2013, in Tucson, AZ.

He was born in Port Angeles, WA and lived in Vancouver, WA before moving to Green Valley, AZ three years ago.

Ray was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and went on to work for Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement.

Ray loved golf and his family.

He had a wonderful group of friends in Green Valley, Vancouver, and Spokane, and his “golfing buddies”.

Ray is survived by his brothers, Larry (Lynda) Peachey of Vancouver, WA and Galen (Janet) Peachey of Boise, ID; sisters, Beth Peachey and Linda Peachey, both of Portland, OR; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Ernest Peachey; and sister, Claudia.

A service was held in Green Valley for Ray on Oct. 29, 2013.

Now, his dear friend, Bruce, owner of Jake’s Bar and Grill, will be having a Celebration of Life for friends and family on Sat., Nov. 16, 2013, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at 4602 St. John’s Road, Vancouver, WA.
