That’s News to you answers

Here are the answers to this week’s That’s News to You quiz:

1. C. STA will spend the money to restore the transit center’s smoking area along Wall Street, which was closed in August 2012 in an effort to improve the area. Local businesses complained about smokers congregating in front of their shops and offices.

2. D. I-522, to label foods that have GMO ingredients, and I-517, which would have changed some of the requirements for initiatives, both failed. Some ballots are still being counted, but the outcome won’t change.

3. A. Avista announced it has reached a deal to acquire Alaska Electric Light and Power of Juneau.

4. C. McClendon is the Mariners’ 16th manager since they started play in 1977, and the eighth since 2002.
