Obituary: Moore, Vincent M.

Age 90

MOORE, Vincent M. On November 10th we lost the amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, brother, uncle, friend, mentor and patriarch of the Moore Family.

He passed away peacefully at his home after a long full life.

He was born on February 2, 1923 in Spokane, WA to Vincent and Marjorie Moore.

He was raised at Hawk Creek and the Spokane Valley.

He was a WWII veteran and attended WSU, University of Berkley, and UW.

He founded Moore and Pierre Hardware in 1948 and Auto Rain Sprinklers in 1952.

He loved his wife and children above all and after his retirement traveled the world with his wife, Maggie.

He was a member of the Masonic Temple, The Optimist Club, Spokane Executive Association, Manito Presbyterian Church and Manito Golf and Country Club where he became an honorary legend member.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Margaret, his children Tom (Peg), Debbie Reed (Ron), Steve (Carol), Marcia Moore (Jack) and Holly Holbert (Bruce.)

and his brother, Jack, and sisters, Jean Pierre and Diane Miller.

He had 10 grandchildren, Jill Stern, Ryan Reed, Cameron Moore, Thomas Moore, Natalie Holbert, Luke Holbert, Jackson Holbert, Chris Moore, and Nick Moore, and three great-grand- daughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 S. Cheney Spokane Road.

A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Touchmark Retirement Home (formerly the Waterford) on 29th and Pittsburg.

In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, 1004 E. 8th or The Shriners Hospital at 911 W. 5th.
