Jenna Sullens scored a pair of goals and added an assist to power the West Valley Eagles to a 3-0 victory over the Ephrata Tigers on Tuesday in a State 2A girls soccer loser-out match at West Valley.
Sullens staked the Eagles to a 1-0 lead at the 21-minute mark and added her second goal 6 minutes into the second half.
West Valley will host West Valley of Yakima in a quarterfinal match on Saturday.
West Valley (Yakima) 2, Clarkston 0: Courtney Wells had a goal and an assist to propel the Rams to a loser-out victory over the visiting Bantams.
Wells assisted on Taylor Karnes’ netter in the 44th minute and followed that with a goal in the 58th minute.
Claire O’Brien scored twice in the first half and the University Prep Pumas of Seattle rolled to a 3-1 win over the Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) Eagles in a girls soccer loser-out match at Nine Mile Falls.
The Pumas advance to play Naches Valley in the quarterfinals.
La Salle 11, Newport 2: Lauren Newman had a goal and three assists as the Lightning jumped out to a 4-0 lead 20 minutes into the loser-out match at Yakima.
Holly Malsbury and Emily Lewis each scored for Newport.
Craig Nelson carried 11 times for 180 yards and four touchdowns and caught five passes for 96 yards and two scores to lead the visiting Rosalia Spartans to a 78-28 victory over the Garfield-Palouse Vikings in a State 1B play-in game.
With the win, Rosalia travels to play Republic on Saturday a 1 p.m.
