Bundle up: Project Warm-Up volunteers, left to right, Jeremy Gall, Joanna Morris and Melanie Steele prepare more than 7,000 donated knitted, crocheted and sewn items created by more than 200 volunteers throughout the year Wednesday, at the Avista warehouse, where they were being stored. Project Warm-Up, a program of Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Spokane County, which is sponsored by the YMCA of the Inland Northwest, provides blankets, hats, slippers and mittens to those in need. Each item is also tagged with some simple tips for identifying and preventing hypothermia. (Colin Mulvany)
