Obituary: Delbridge, Oscar Allen
Age 86
He was born on October 18, 1927 to Cassie and Oscar H. Delbridge in Menlo Park, California and was one of nine children.
They moved to Spokane in his early years.
Sometime after his father died Allen quit school to help support the family, eventually joining the Merchant Marines.
Upon his return he was employed by Kaiser Aluminum where many knew him as “Red.”
He retired after 35 years.
He married Ellen Mahon in 1948 and they had four children.
Summer weekends were spent at their cabin on Deer Lake and occasional winter weekends on their snowmobiles.
His children and their spouses are Kathy and Rob Riopelle, Gary and Patty Delbridge, Jo and Garrett Skaufel, and Jackie and Scott Schultz.
Allen also had eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held November 16th at 11:00 at River Christian Church at North 5201 Market Street.
