HOLZ, Arlene M. Arlene M. Holz, a 54-year resident of Valley, WA passed away on November 13, 2013 in Riverside, WA in the loving care of her family.

Arlene was born on March 3, 1926 in Blaine, WA the daughter of Glen Horton and Minnie Olive (Smith) Thurston.

Arlene was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Holz in 1969 and her husband, Alvin Holz in 1996.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Dawson and husband, Dennis, Ed Holz and wife, Jerri, Terry Wilks and husband, Bruce, all of Valley, WA; grandchildren, Doug Dawson and wife, Kay, Duane Dawson and wife, Shannon, Ryan Holz and wife, Mandy, Kelly Balmforth and husband, Greg, Cortney Burya and husband, Brett; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kara, Gabe, Eli, Blake, Payton, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Madelyn, Kiri, James, Kimber, Zach; great-great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jasmine and Brooklyn; sister, Glynes Tabach, Whidbey Island, WA and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Chewelah, WA.

A graveside service and vault interment will follow the funeral service at the Valley Cemetery, Valley, WA.

Pastor George Dungan will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to either the Valley Food Bank and/or the Valley Bible Church.
