Age 87
She grew up in Wilbur and attended school in Wilbur graduating in 1945.
She married Jim Yount on June 13, 1948 in Wilbur, WA.
They moved to Tempe, AZ where Jim Yount had his dental practice and they had their two children Doug and Lynn and raised their family until he retired 20 yrs.

They returned to the Wilbur area, building a cabin on Lake Roosevelt.
They continued to go between Tempe and Wilbur until two years ago when they moved to Davenport to be closer to their daughter and her doctors.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was a great seamstress, enjoyed golf, camping, friends and family.
She was a 55+ year member of the ESA Philanthropic Sorority, 30 yr. member PEO, member of the Tempe 1st Congregational Church, Rolling Hills Golf Club in Tempe, AZ and volunteered with the meals on Wheel program in Tempe, AZ.
Gladys passed away on November 9, 2013 with her family by her side.
She is survived by her husband Jim Yount at the home, two children Doug (and Donna) Yount of Bozeman, MT and Lynn (and Alton) Leisle of Davenport, WA.
She has five grandchildren Jamie, Nicole, Julianne, Peter and Jessica and nine great grandchildren Jayd, Collin, Bo, Ava, Emilia, Cash, Paige, Isabella and Sam.
Her sister Norene Harnasch of Kennewick, WA along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Marvin and Creighton Sherwood.
Memorials may be made to the Wilbur Swimming Pool Fund, Wilbur Fire and EMT’s, Lincoln Hospital Foundation or the Donor’s choice.
An inurnment service will be held at the Wilbur Cemetery in the spring.
