Zags host winless Oakland

SUNDAY, NOV. 17, 2013

No. 15 Gonzaga (2-0) entertains short-handed Oakland University (0-3) tonight at 5 at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

The visitors from Rochester, Mich., will be without second leading scorer Duke Mondy and junior forward Dante Williams. The two were suspended following their arrest Thursday on suspicion of sexual assault. No charges are expected to be filed, but the two players were reportedly returning to Michigan.

Oakland nearly pulled off an upset before falling 64-60 to Cal on Friday. Guard Travis Bader, who led the nation in 3-pointers made last season, hit five 3s and scored 21 points. The Grizzlies, a member of the Horizon League, previously lost to North Carolina by 23 points and to UCLA by 31.
