Two men charged in shooting death of grouse hunter

Two men were arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder for the September shooting death of a grouse hunter in Okanogan County. Adam Shaun Jennings, 27, and John Wayne Jennings, 57, are charged with shooting Michael R. Carrigan about six miles from Chesaw, Wash., according to a news release. Carrigan, who is from Hoquiam, was with a friend when Carrigan exited their vehicle to shoot a grouse, but was shot himself. Carrigan’s body was found about 100 yards away from a residence. Two occupants were interviewed at the time, and several items were removed from the home. The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office did not confirm whether the Jenningses were the occupants of the home. Adam Jennings faces charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of firearms. John Jennings faces charges of first-degree murder and delivery of firearm to an ineligible person.
