Obituary: Whitesell, Bonnie J. (Hanifen)

WHITESELL, Bonnie J.

(Hanifen) 1953 - 2013 Bonnie, at the age of 60, was lifted to Heaven on November 17, 2013.

She fought a hard and courageous journey with cancer.

She never complained or felt sorry for herself and always had a smile on her face, she is our “True Hero”.

Bonnie was born May 20, 1953 in Spokane to Mike and Lorraine Hanifen, both are deceased.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years John J. Whitesell who was her daily caregiver and did not deny her anything during this troubled time; two sons Scott M. Whitesell of Renton and Shawn C. Whitesell (Kelly) of Spokane; granddaughter Annabell M. Whitesell; two older sisters Janet L. (Ken) Nall of Jeffersonville, IN and Vicki L. (Jim) Fowler of Spokane Valley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and grandma.

Bonnie graduated from U-High in 1971 and worked for West Valley District for several years.

She returned to school to become a medical coordinator, then worked at Rockwood Clinic in Neurology for numerous years, she loved her profession and her patients.

Memorial Service 3:30PM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Heritage Chapel.

In lieu of flowers she would love any donations be given to Cancer Care Northwest or Hospice of Spokane.
