Prosecutors won’t seek death penalty for shooting

Associated Press
MOSCOW, Idaho — Prosecutors in north-central Idaho say they won’t seek the death penalty for a Moscow man charged with murder in connection with a shooting death. Prosecutors say 28-year-old Nathaniel H. Nisbet shot and killed 42-year-old Charles “Pat” McMichael during a confrontation earlier this month at a mobile home park. Investigators say McMichael went to the trailer to change the locks for the woman who owns the residence when the shooting occurred. Nisbet had been living at the trailer with the woman. The Lewiston Tribune reports Nisbet is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in the case on Friday.
