Obituary: Warner, Kenneth W.

Age 92

WARNER, Kenneth W. (Age 92) Passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at his home near Reardan, WA.

He was born April 27, 1921 at Tekoa, WA to Ray W. and Dora (Pryor) Warner.

Kenneth entered the United States Army in August of 1942 and served during World War II in the European theater.

He was discharged in November of 1945 as a Private in a medical detachment.

After his discharge, Kenneth returned to the Tekoa area where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Kenneth married Gladys L. Keisner at Coeur d’Alene, ID on June 24, 1946.

The couple made their home at Tekoa.

They moved to Kellogg, ID in the 1950’s where he worked as a car inspector for the railroad.

Following his retirement in 1981, they moved to Post Falls, ID and in 1998, moved to Spokane Valley, WA.

Following the death of his wife Gladys in 2007, Kenneth moved to Reardan, WA where he lived with a nephew, Randall Warner.

He was a veteran of World War II.

His hobbies included fishing.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys, a son Kenneth J. Warner, a daughter, Rebecca Lyn Warner; his three brothers, Robert, Raymond, and Alvin Warner, his four sisters; Evelyn Hill, Delores Davidson, Edna Ouelette, and Opal DeVanney.

Viewing Friday and Saturday 9AM-5PM.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, WA.

The United States Army will provide military honors.

Memorial gifts may be given to Goldenrod Cemetery at Tekoa, WA.
