Shame on politicians

So nobody knows what, if any, health insurance we’ll have next year in Washington. Avista was given permission to raise its rates. The city is raising its utility rates by 2.9 percent. Property taxes are being raised by 2 percent because government didn’t raise taxes last year.

We can afford to give three federal judges a $17,000-a-year raise, but the people who work all their lives get a 1.5 percent Social Security raise. Are you kidding me?

All politicians wonder why this country is in the toilet and nobody thinks they’re doing a good job. When’s the last time they said, “No, I’m going to cut some of our perks” instead of making the rest of us foot the bill? Is this what they mean by “no new taxes”? Shame on each and every one of them.
