Christmas Tree Elegance 2013 - 31st annual fundraiser to benefit Spokane Symphony. View and purchase raffle tickets for 12 trees at the Davenport Hotel on the Mezzanine from Dec. 3-15 and six trees at River Park Square (808 W. Main Ave.) on the second floor corridor. Tickets sales are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at both locations. Dec. 3, 5:30 p.m., opening ceremony in the Davenport Hotel lobby. Dec. 5, 11:30 a.m., Christmas Tree Elegance Fashion Show and Luncheon, in the Grand Pennington Ballroom, reservations required, $50/person. Peace on Earth - A Christmas Luncheon - Feast on mixed salad, glazed ham, scalloped potatoes, and organic green beans accompanied by bread and butter. For dessert, Royal Plaza will provide its famous Christmas cupcakes, served by employees of the Spokane Teachers Credit Union. Entertainment will consist of the Bell Choir from Palisade Christian Academy, Kirk Smich, a piano player from Gonzaga University, and readers from the Corbin board Penny Moore and Carolyn Bryan. Liberty Lake Holiday Ball - Champagne reception, three-course dinner, silent and live auctions and live music with dancing. The event is the sole fundraiser for Friends of Pavillion Park, which sponsors a free summer concert series, movies in the park, scholarships, an annual fun run, the Labor Day weekend Spokane Symphony concert and Shakespeare in the Park.
