St. George’s blanks Waitsburg-Prescott to take third

 

The St. George’s boys soccer team responded after Friday’s heartbreaking loss to Bear Creek with a 2-0 win over Waitsburg-Prescott in the State 2B/1B consolation match at Sunset Chev Stadium Saturday in Sumner, Wash.

The win gave the Dragons (19-1) third place.

Michael Hamilton opened the scoring with a goal in the eighth minute. Collin Cremers assisted.

Erik Muelheims added an unassisted insurance goal in the 38th minute.

St. George’s took second place last year after winning the state title in 2011.
