Obituary: Smith, Don

SMITH, Don Of Chattaroy will be laid to rest on November 27th, 2013 at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake.

Don was born May 10th, 1929 in Spokane, was a graduate of North Central High School’s class of 1947, was a Veteran of the US Navy and the Korean War and worked for 38 years at Kaiser Aluminum’s Mead plant.

In 1965 Don married Lova Miller who became the love of his life.

They spent 51 beautiful years together and raised two daughters, Milanie and Erica.

He could often be found fishing with his lifelong friend Owen Ryan, polishing stones to hand make jewelry, building redwood clocks or attending Spokane Chiefs games.

Don was an extremely loyal man who exuded quiet strength and will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
