Storm expected Sunday in Inland Northwest

Thanksgiving travel in the Inland Northwest should be uneventful today and Thursday, after some early-morning patchy fog.

But the National Weather Service is expecting a storm that could bring snow and icy driving conditions late Sunday into early Monday.

The weather service, in a hazardous weather alert, said snow is likely to begin falling in the mountains on Sunday, accompanied by gusty wind.

On Monday, “travel across mountain passes could be difficult at times and cold temperatures could lead to icy conditions even without snow,” according to the weather service.

High temperatures are expected in the low 40s Thursday through Saturday, with lows ranging from 25 degrees to 35 degrees, the weather service said.
