It was here that she met Arthur Jones while he was going to school at WSC.

She followed her husband to work at Spokane VA Medical Center for a couple of years and then became a store security officer at Value-Mart, which is now known as Fred Meyers where she worked for about five years.
All of this while doing the most of the raising of three children.
She was a most wonderful mother and a very congenial person, doing everything necessary to keep the house in good order.
After eleven moves they finally built their own home in 1955 in the Indian Canyon area of Spokane where family still resides.
Her favorite hobbies were crocheting and reading.
She became rather adept at carving walking sticks during their travels in later years.
She also had a great love for plants and flowers.
