Spokane police arrest suspect in two area bank robberies

Spokane police arrested the man suspected of robbing two banks earlier this month. Alex Treadway, 31, was arrested Saturday morning on charges of robbing Washington Trust Bank at 3810 N. Maple Street on Nov. 25 and Banner Bank at 6622 N. Division on Nov. 14. Police obtained information that Treadway would be at an apartment complex in the 7000 block of N. Colton Street just before 10 a.m., according to a news release. Police found Treadway there and arrested him without incident. Treadway is a convicted felon with numerous arrests, including felon in possession of a firearm, armed burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and theft, according to police.
