Holy Names Sisters are heroes

To say of the Holy Names Sisters that “our world was our classroom” (Sept. 22) belies the immeasurable influence of truths shared in those classrooms that have surely shaped our world for the better. Young minds hungry to meet the challenges of contemporary living, of social justice, of a world desperate for knowledge, were nurtured, inspired and empowered in those classrooms.

The Holy Names Sisters are heroes and angels among us, strong and powerful role models then, now and always. Their legacy is our future. I am forever in their debt.
