Obituary: Martell, Ronald E. Sr.

Age 52

MARTELL, Ronald E. Sr. August 13, 1961 - September 28, 2013 Ron Martell passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning.

Born in Pasco, Ron lived in the Tri-Cities as a child and moved to Redding, CA with his parents Judy and Gene Collins.

They also lived in Fernwood and Priest River, ID where he played baseball, pitching five no-hitters, helping his team win state.

His work included framing/siding but his true passion was cars.

Ron lived in Spokane and at age 23 he married Jenai Davis and they had son Ronnie Eugene Davis “Jr”, later divorcing.

Ron had a long-term relationship with Lynelle Swope and helped care for her daughter Crystal.

In 2010, Ron met Lynn Blumer and they had River Nevaeh Martell (33 months) and Avalynn (12 months).

Ron considered himself a father to Lynn’s children Daniel (14) and Brooke (12).

Ron is survived by son Ronnie Davis Jr. and daughter River Martell; sisters Robin Logan and Teresa Moore; uncle and aunt Don and Alma Moore and many nieces and nephews.

Ron had a huge heart and impacted the lives of many, many brothers, friends and loved ones.

Ron’s last year was dedicated to raising his daughter and being an example to his son and he is missed.

A memorial service will be held on October 8th at 2:00 pm at the Salvation Army Chapel, 222 E. Indiana.

Spokane, WA.

It will be followed by a Celebration of Life Potluck (location to be announced).

A trust fund is being set up for his minor daughter and any donations will go to her.
