The Traveling Vietnam Wall – Through Sunday. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute brings the traveling wall, which carries the names of 58,261 service members who died in the war including 84 service members from Spokane. Each day at 1 p.m., the names of the fallen Spokane-area Vietnam Veterans will be read. There will be free shuttle bus transportation from Life Center Church, 1202 N. Government Way, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Shuttle service from Palisades Christian Academy, 1115 N. Government Way, on Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery, 211 N. Make-A-Wish 5K Walk/Run for Wishes - Make-A-Wish Washington is hosting its fifth annual family-friendly walk. The event generates funds to help grant the wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Food, beverages and family entertainment provided. Registration is free but a minimum $100 fundraising goal is encouraged for each participant to support future wish granting. KPBX Kids Concert - Kick off the back-to-school season with the tuba quartet S.P.A.R.C. (Spokane Piston and Rotary Club).
