Obituary: Hyatt, Robert E. Sr.

Age 77

HYATT, Robert E. Sr. (Age 77) Passed away with his family by his side on October 1, 2013 in Spokane, Washington.

He was born in Mount Pleasant, TN on August 14, 1936 to Virgil Hyatt and Minnie Mozzie Howell.

Robert “Bob” served in the US Air Force from 1954 to 1975, and in 1975 retired as a SSGT.

He won many awards and competitions for his marksmanship.

He had a unique sense of humor and provided many times of laughter for us.

This laughter will continue, as we remember the funny things he would say and do.

Bob loved his granddaughters.

They were a great source of joy in his life, and they will miss their “Papa” greatly.

He was especially proud of his first and only great-granddaughter, Chesnie “Bean”.

His face would light up every time he saw her.

Bob is survived by his children, Kathryn Elliott, Brenda Hyatt, Robert (Chris) Hyatt Jr., and Stormy (Pat) Vaughan; granddaughters, Nicole Hyatt, Jessica (Rick) Shaver, Kate Vaughan, Cindy Vaughan, Kassandra Hyatt; and great-granddaughter, Chesnie Shaver “Bean”.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents, and siblings.

Bob will be missed by many of us.

If you share in this sense of loss, the family kindly requests you do a random act of kindness in Bob’s honor.

No service will be held for Bob at his request.

Arrangements are being handled through Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home.
