S-R helpful on ACA

You are doing a great service to this region and our country by not falling prey to the right wing of the Republican Party and lying about Obamacare or, even worse, not printing vital information.

Recently, The Spokesman-Review published several very informative essays on health care in general and Sept. 29, on Obamacare specifically. The S-R’s readership should have no excuse for not understanding health care and the Affordable Care Act.

Every independent or moderate Republican should read the S-R’s Sunday insert on the Affordable Care Act. Anyone who says, “Defund or delay Obamacare,” has to be drunk on the Kool-Aid of tea party ideology or unable to read your paper, I am sorry to say.

Will there be stumbles and glitches in the program? Of course, but my family and several friends’ families need what the Affordable Care Act has to offer right now. The tea party, represented by Reps. Raul Labrador and Cathy McMorris Rodgers, want to gut the ACA and replace it with … nothing, or to blow up our economy with their government shutdown or debt default.

Thank you, Spokesman-Review, for great journalism. And, you do your preferred political party proud.
