Eastern volleyball defeated soundly

 

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Ronni Munkeby tallied 17 kills, Lauren Clarke added four aces and 11 digs, and North Dakota stayed undefeated in the Big Sky Conference with a 25-15, 25-22, 25-21 volleyball victory over Eastern Washington.

Munkeby committed only one error on 20 chances for UND (12-7, 7-0), which hit .354 on the night compared to Eastern’s hitting percentage of .117.

EWU setter Lindsay Niemeier recorded a team-high 21 assists and seven kills for the Eagles (6-12, 3-4). Sophomore Ryann Ensrud added a match-high 17 digs.

The Eagles, who made the road trip without coach Wade Benson because he was determined to be too ill to , play conference foe Northern Colorado on Saturday in Greeley, Colo.
