Douthitt is exceptional

Bob Douthitt is an exceptional member of the Spokane School Board. He has no agenda except to provide the best education possible for all our students. His focus has been on seeing that students with college aspirations receive the prerequisite academic rigor while also making sure that students who want to follow a path to a trade are given the best support possible. Douthitt understands that educational building blocks begin early, which is why implementing a full-day kindergarten program is so important.

Douthitt brings an important perspective to the board. He started his working career as an attorney, then entered the business world as the owner of the local Great Clips franchise. This combination of the professional and practical gives Douthitt a unique perspective and the ability to appropriately analyze and decide the myriad issues the board faces.

Douthitt’s children all have gone through the Spokane school system. It is his mission, which he has devoted great time and energy to over the past four years, to see that all of Spokane’s children who attend public school receive the best education possible for whatever they choose to do in life. Our city’s future depends on it.
