Montana rushes for 255 yards in win

Jordan Johnson threw for two touchdowns and Montana ball carriers notched four more as the Grizzlies ran over UC Davis on Saturday at Davis, Calif.

Behind a big offensive line that manhandled defenders in opening holes, Montana (5-1, 2-1) racked up 255 yards rushing, including an 18-yard scoring run by Travon Van and TD runs of 1 and 24 yards by Jordan Canada.

Johnson was 12 of 20 for 163 yards passing, with TD strikes of 30 and 21 yards to Ellis Henderson.

Montana held UC Davis (2-5, 2-1) to 237 yards of total offense and bagged two interceptions.

Southern Utah 17, Portland State 7: Aaron Cantu threw for one touchdown and rushed for another to lead the Thunderbirds over the Vikings in Cedar City, Utah.

Cantu was 14 of 25 for 119 yards, hitting wide receiver Fatu Moala from 5 yards for a second-quarter touchdown and taking it in himself from the 1-yard line with 6 minutes left in the game to seal the win for SUU (5-2, 2-1).

PSU (3-4, 0-3) committed five turnovers.

Idaho State 40, Northern Colorado 26: Justin Arias threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns as the Bengals defeated the Bears in Pocatello.

ISU (3-3, 1-2) rolled up 532 total yards on UNC (1-6, 0-3) to get their first conference victory in two years.

Luke Austin was Arias’ favorite target, snagging eight catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns. Xavier Finney provided support on the ground, rushing for 146 yards and a touchdown.

Northern Arizona 39, Sacramento State 38: Chase Cartwright threw three second-half touchdowns and Zach Bauman completed a Lumberjacks (4-2, 2-1) come-from-behind victory with a 25-yard touchdown run to lift NAU over the Hornets (3-4, 2-1) at Sacramento, Calif.

Cal Poly 47, Weber State 0: Dano Graves threw for three touchdowns and rushed for 116 yards in his collegiate debut to lead the Mustangs (3-3, 2-0) over the Wildcats (1-6, 0-3) at San Luis Obispo, Calif.
