North Central boys win Richland Invitational

North Central runners Kai Wilmot and Tanner Anderson finished third and fourth, respectively, and the Indians boys took the team title in the Richland Invitational Division I race Saturday.

Wilmot completed the 3-mile course in 14 minutes, 51.65 seconds. Anderson was fourth in 14:54.27.

Nathan Hale finished second as a team and Mt. Spokane was third. Mt. Spokane’s John Dressel was second overall in 14:49.59. Seattle Prep’s Joe Hardy won in 14:47.66.

Henry Jackson won the girls title. Central Valley was second and Lewis and Clark third.

West Valley’s McCall Skay led area girls finishers. She took third in 18:10.46.

• The Coeur d’Alene girls finished first through fifth and took the team title at the Sandpoint Invitational.

Emily Callahan won after completing the 5,000-meter course in 18:24. Krista Story (18:29) was second, Josie Brown (18:39) third, Caitlin Conway (19:05) fourth and Kara Story (19:11) fifth.

Sandpoint finished second. The Bulldogs were led by Mikhaela Woodward, who took sixth in 19:22.

Lake City won the boys title. The Timberwolves’ Jake Finney was first in 15:45 and teammate Kyler Little was second in 15:48.

Volleyball

Coeur d’Alene (2-3) swept visiting Post Falls (0-6) 27-25, 26-19, 25-12 in an Inland Empire League 5A match.
