Hats off to SWX for televising Spokane high school sports for us grandparents, retired and disabled who are not able to attend all the games we would like.
But it would be even nicer if we were able to see halftime activities. Some of the marching bands put so much time in with practice before and after school, camps in the summer, and representing their schools in out-of-town competitions.
I live in a retirement complex and last night was very disappointing to a group of people who were at my condo waiting to watch the Mead halftime. Many of us have grandchildren playing football or in the marching band. After watching at least five commercials and the longest weather report twice, we saw almost 2 seconds of Mead going onto the field. We saw Mead flag girls (5 seconds) getting their flags adjusted and about 2 seconds of the Mead mascot. Very, very, very disappointing.
This is a very sports-oriented activity center (season tickets to Gonzaga games, trips to see the Mariners). Please, SWX, see what you can do for us old fans.
