Obituary: Knorr, Mildred M.

Age 75

KNORR, Mildred M. (Age 75) Passed into rest on Thursday, October 10th, 2013.

She is survived by three of her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mildred Mae Knorr was born to her parents on a cold January 7, 1938.

The third of four sisters and two brothers.

She grew up and lived her entire life in Spokane, WA, but later enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and family on long cruises to places including Russia and Japan.

Meeting him as a young waitress, she married Robert Edward Knorr (deceased) in July of 1957.

They raised a family of four children; two daughters, Pattie and Barbara and two sons, Ronald (deceased) and Harvey.

As her children married they blessed her with eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren who became the center of her world.

Millie helped her husband and family by working at the family business, keeping house for her children and husband, and being an amazing role model for everyone.

Following her husband’s deployment she became a lifetime member of The Women’s Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1474 in Hillyard.

With a passionate heart, Millie had a love of collecting dolls, especially when they reminded her of her family.

She enjoyed reading, ceramics, gardening, and even taught herself crochet.

She enjoyed meeting people when she worked and rarely found any she didn’t like.

An easy person to call friend and always ready with a helping hand.

Befriending many and disliking few.

Funeral services will be held at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16th.
