Obituary: Rapp, Gilbert Norman Sr.

RAPP, Gilbert Norman Sr. (Age 52) Gilbert Norman Rapp Sr. passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 due to complications of cancer.

A life-long resident of Spokane, WA, Gil was involved in many areas.

First and foremost he was a husband, father, grand- father, brother and uncle.

Family always came ahead of everything else as far as Gil was concerned; his last worry was that Bonnie would be alright.

An avid racer he was the owner of Rapp Racing; cars 17, 18 and 19, of the Northwest Early Stocks.

He also had a life-long relationship with hockey; both as a player (until last year) and coach.

Because of his love of kids as a coach, he taught them more about life than just hockey.

Gil was also an accomplished golfer and had more than his share of fun on the golf course.

He was passionate about everything he did.

A real people person; Gil cared about everyone he had contact with.

Gil is survived by his wife of 27 years, Bonnie; son, Gilbert Jr; daughter, Cheree Adams; sister, Phyllis; brothers, Rick and Bryan; grandchildren: Kaylee, Logan, Emily, Ryan and Mallory; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Jerri and brother, Jamey.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the Rose Chapel at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division, at 2:00 PM.
