No little people

Stop it! I don’t want to hear one more citizen refer to themselves or those of us who are not in Congress as “the little people.” There are only 535 of them, and 311 million of us. We are the big people because we have the vote, and they serve at our pleasure.

No matter how much money the special interests throw at the House and Senate, we have the vote. No matter what the politics of the Democrats and Republicans, we are in charge. We have the vote. All we have to do is pay attention, do our homework and vote our conscience.
